This was an assessment completed during my Diploma of Graphic Design for a unit entitled Publishing and Media. I was tasked with formatting an article by Maria Tsudon about the revolutionary (and very unique) Stefan Sagmeister. The emphasis here was on typography, pull-quotes, and layout.
The hand-drawn pull-quotes and custom elements on the cover were all rendered digitally using Adobe Illustrator. Given Sagmeister incorporates a very hand-made-in-a-deliberate-way aesthetic to his work, I wanted this to flow on into my article layout. A clear focus was made on keeping colour to a minimum. This project was fully formatted in Adobe InDesign, with all the necessary pre-press specifications.
